Dr. Steve Khachi is a Stanford-trained child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. As the founder of the Mind Study Center in Pasadena, CA, he leads a multidisciplinary team offering cutting-edge treatments, including psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, neuropsychological evaluations, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)—all conveniently available in one location. With a personalized approach and deep expertise, Dr. Khachi is committed to transforming lives and redefining mental healthcare.

About Steve Khachi, M.D.
Dr. Steve Khachi’s journey in psychiatry is a testament to his dedication to excellence, innovation, and compassionate care. As the founder of the Mind Study Center, he is redefining mental healthcare by blending evidence-based practices with a deeply personalized approach for children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Khachi earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry-Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His passion for neuroscience and neuropsychiatric disorders led him to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where he earned his medical degree and was awarded the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship. This fellowship supported his groundbreaking neuroscience research at the National Institutes of Health, resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences.
He honed his clinical skills during his psychiatry residency at the University of California San Diego and specialized in child and adolescent psychiatry at Stanford University, one of the world’s premier training programs, where he served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Khachi is double board-certified in both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
With extensive experience in diverse clinical settings, Dr. Khachi has worked in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and specialized programs for eating disorders and substance use. He has also provided consultative services to schools, hospitals, and healthcare professionals. Currently, he serves as a voluntary faculty member at USC’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, mentoring in-training child psychiatrists.
Dr. Khachi combines expertise in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy with a commitment to integrating the latest advancements in mental healthcare. At the Mind Study Center, he is dedicated to delivering world-class, multidisciplinary, and compassionate care to support the mental well-being of every patient.
